Audrey’s Story
by Audrey
August contest winner
I have had two children,
both breastfed. I had started out with a perky A cup. After the "joy" of breastfeeding
two children (7yrs apart), I became a somewhat "drippy" A cup wanna-be. I thought
about breast augmentation, but never thought I could afford it, or would ever
actually do it even if I could. I was very embarrassed to go out in public in
a bathing suit and always wore padded push-up bras. The funny part is the only
thing they were pushing up were the bra cups themselves! My boyfriend and I decided
to move out of state. We discussed the procedure, and decided that this is the
time to do it! A new start where no one knows me, where I get to be this whole
new confident person. I would get to wear all those cute shirts and dresses that
would hang down on me before. I would no longer have to switch out the bikini
top for a smaller size! My boyfriend said as long as I came up with the money,
the surgery was mine. I thought long and hard, and as determined as I was, I found
a solution. I found a fundraising company. I sold, or should I say, me and all
of my dedicated friends, sold boxes of candy! Most people were thrilled to death
of the cause and bought candy and made extra donations. I then raised enough money
in about 2 months and got the surgery. I had talked for hours to others who had
done it or were thinking of having the surgery, on Breastimplants411. They were
so helpful and so confident and encouraging. I have to say that thanks to all
of the women there, I had almost no fear of the surgery itself, or the after effects.
It felt good to know that there were other normal women and mothers who just wanted
some more confidence and a different or improved look, just like me. Talking to
everyone made me feel like a mature adult making a decision that was mine and
that was valid. I never felt cheap or ashamed. Now, I am a full C and very happy
with myself. After the surgery I even began exercising and eating better. It was
an all around change, for the better! I love it...them...me!
