I have a question, and I am desperate... I had my saline implants a year and a half ago. very happy with size. I had 350 cc's. I am very small boned and only 5"3. So I am a C.... I have very bad rippeling on inside and went back to dr. and he said it is because I am lean?????????????????????????????????? and yes I could go back and have silicone which ususally doesn't for 8,000 dollars?????????????????????????????????????????????? Unfortunately rippling is a side of effect of saline implants when starting out with very little breast tissue. When starting with very little breast tissue it is very likely that rippling will occur. I started out with no breast tissue and I have rippling on the bottom of my breasts. Luckily it is not visible but it can be felt.

Did your PS quote you a price? Because since it would be a redo maybe he would only charge you for the implants and anethesia instead of charging you full price.

Just a thought for research. Would severe rippling be covered under the warranty? I was thinking that it is! But maybe not just a thought.

I have silicone and I have rippling. The can be seen with either silicone or saline but overs are more likey. Also, if you have recently lost weight they may surface then if it's recent. I am switching mine to smooth, silicone, filled to max and unders to decrease this from happening again. My PS says if the rippling is slight, and you have no other problems you should live with it, but I know it's a personal decision. Good luck.

It is true that lean people (usually with little to no breast tissue covering the implant) have more chance of rippling, but there are other factors, such as how much the implant is filled. I am very lean, have barely any breast tissue of my own, & have saline & have never had any rippling. You might want to get a second opinion from another ps.

rippling can happen with either silcone or saline. I don't think any warranty would cover that no. It's a chance we all take. I dont have any rippling but then I had ample breast tissue to cover the implant. so for once being chubby worked to my advantage

I am thin and my PS told me that due to my size and lack of breast tissue I would have rippling, but most likely less with silicone. I went with silicone placed under the muscle, and I do have rippling on the sides and under my breasts when I bend over. I am ok with it(after being assured it was normal) because it is only me and my husband that will see the ripples. I am very happy with my breasts even with the rippling, but have been told that it will most likely get worse as the breasts settle unless I gain weight. I know that many PS's swear by going with the saline and overfilling them to reduce the rippling, but my PS doesn't do that because he says it is not recommended by the manufacturer and in fact voids the warranty.

I thought you couldn't get rippling if you went under the muscle?
