So Im 1 week away.. Ahhh!! and before I've been pretty excited a little nervous, but mostly excited.. Now that Im so close I've been freaking out all day!! I've researched soooo much, and know tons of people who have had a BA. But I think the thing that scares me the most is that 1 of those young ladies died because of an infection. All day long I've been hugging on my kids. It might sound a bit crazy, but im truly concerned. I need some support from you wonderful ladies. I know I want this done, no doubt in my mind.. Just scared and need some major support for the next week! I've never had any type of surgery at all.. I've had a local anesthetic once when I got my birth control put in my arm lol, but nothing ever for my kids or anything... Please help put my mind at ease! TIA!!!

Get HOLD OF YOURSELF WOMAN!!
Seriously? I remember those feelings. I didn't worry so much about operative complications; I worried more that I'd be sorry I had it done, I worried and obsessed over how different would I look? I had moments where I thought I'd lost my mind signing up for this!
All is well! I love having breasts like a REAL girl! There can be complications from having a bunion removed! Those don't occur frequently either! Best of Luck!

I am one week and one day post-op and let me tell you I was a nervous wreck too! A little about complications and a lot about whether I would really like having all that stuff on my chest - since I've never really had much even while breastfeeding. With my last two children's birth's I didn't have any pain meds either and am kinda a big proponent on avoiding unecessary intervetions, lol... hello elective cosmetic surgery! Struggled with that dilemma, a lot!! - but that's another topic... I'm right there with you sister... You are going to come out the other side of this just fine, really! And even hours post-op with tremendous unexpected pressure/pain on my sternum I was peaking under my shirt and would have stood up and did the happy dance if I could have mustered the strength, lol. Think positive and stay away from the scary stories - that is the best thing you can do going in to this!

Thanks so much jenn.. Im not so worried about the size, because I have always had a nice size chest for my size. Well until after I breastfed my daughter. Now they're small and a little saggy. So Im ready to get my boobies back and hopefully they'll be better than ever! **fingers crossed** but thanks for the encouragement!!! So how are you feeling now??

I feel much better than expected. The worst part was probably dealing with the nauseousness from the meds after coming out of surgery. Eventually they gave me a scopalamine patch to put behind my ear which working wonderfully. Other than that it's been much better than expected. Probably too good actually, in that I've probably been doing/accomplishing more than I should try at this point.
