Can anyone tell me what kind of exercise I can do to get rid of the flab in my lower belly? I have been doing crunches, cardio, leg lifts... Nothing seems to target that area specifically.
Thanks for any help! |

Cardio. Toning will only tighten up what's under there, unfortunately!! I have great abs....under the layer of fluff |

| Me too! Stinks. I guess I will try doing more cardio. It is that lower stomach area, the upper part looks good. It has improved but so slightly and slowly. |

Unfortunately, I think that diet is the only thing that will take care of that area (along with exercise). This is what I hear anyway, I haven't actually had succuss . |

Clean eating and genetics are key. Cardio and ab work will help. Planks are really good ab work and are about the only ab specific exercise I do.
I have a decent set of abs but I can only really see the top ones. I have a tiny pouch on my lower abs that I know will only go away if I'm really strict with eating and cut out alcohol. Not worth it at this stage in my life. I'm fine knowing they are under there somewhere! |

Diet diet diet diet.
nothing takes care of flab other than cutting the bad stuff out of your diet.
You can strengthen the lower ab muscles all you want but that will never take care of "flab," unfortunately. i learned the hard way that what I eat is the only thing that controls the amount of fat on my stomach!
cardio can help as well. i despise cardio so I do as little as possible and am still able to keep the fat off my stomach as long as I cut out sugar, carbs and chocolate. waaaaah! |

Sounds like I have no shot at losing that little flabby area. I am such a sugar and junk food eater.
Thanks for the advice.
Now it makes sense why I don't see much progress.
Maybe small dietary changes will help me? |

You know, I was thinking about all of this when I was reading an article online today about Kate Moss's comment that "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." And I thought, "Oh, yeah it does. Chocolate does."

| Check out the web for information on a supplement called CLA. I haven't used it, but have read about it, and it appears to work. |

I love that... eating right is the key. I can tell in my belly when I cheat, bloated icky feeling and looking belly.
I also found that with eating right you don't need to do a million crunches, a couple minutes a day of the plank and side plank works wonders.
