For me the pain was not bad at all. I had Darvocets that I took but didnt even really need them that much. I was walking around the same day and even went out to eat the next day. My main problem was not being able to open doors, drive, or basically do anything with my arms the first couple weeks.
Make sure you have plenty of water and something to eat if you do take pain pills so that you dont feel sick from taking them on an empty stomach.
You will be fine! Prepare yourself for the worst and you will see its not that bad :) Good luck tomorrow and your gonna be soo happy you did it! |

| What pain there is, is well worth it. The medication keeps you comfortable. |

| Ahhh...today was my first day back at work and i had surgery friday morning! im soo tired! the pain wassnt all that bad i guess..now that i think about it i dont remember it really because of the percocet! but as it turns out percocet is too strong for me and i had an allergic reaction to it...VERY ITCHY last few days! the girls are still very swollen and pushed up but i still cant feel them. (they are still numb from the surgery injections) I AM SOOO HAPPY I MADE THIS DECISION!!! |

Yahoo! Congratulations! I am glad that everything went good for you! Is it hard to be at work so soon? When I get mine done I will have about the same amount of time off, and a friend of mine was telling me I wouldn't be able to drive or open doors!? Yikes! Has this been true for you? |

Good Luck Greeneyes! So exciting!
I had mine on a Tuesday and walked in the park on Friday. (stopped px meds that day) Felt like elephant on chest though. Will get winded quick. Wouldn't advise that. But my pain was minimal. It was the pressure and swelling that made me more uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong, you will have pain. Like being full of breast milk...or saline. haha.
Don't try to do too much that involves your pecs...you will feel it. Oh let us know if you end up walking hunched over. I couldn't walk or sit upright for a week. LOL Enjoy the journey! |
