Hi. Sometimes I have double lids and sometimes I don't. I hate it. I am considering double eyelid surgery. If someone had gotten it done. Please share your experiences with me. How long did it take to heal? How much did it cost and where did you do it at? Thank you so much for your help!!

I was fully healed in about 2 weeks. with the bruising.Looked ok in a week.Running stitch came out in a week.
I was careful not to rub the eye for about a month. Can't even see the incision unless you know what to look for.

I had lower eye-lids "fixed", same time I had my BA, Oct 24th 08.
Realy was totally no problem, I was in so much pain from the BA, I totally forgot, I had something done to my eyes.
for about 2 weeks I had to use an eye-rinse and eye-drops in the day, as well as eye-gel at night, to keep the eyes moist.
Besides that, I never knew, I had it done.
No pain, no swelling....
Although, I think the upper eyes take a little longer, to heal, at least that's what I heard.
I paid $1700,-- for my lower eyelids....
Don't know about upper ones....
Best of luck to you

I'm getting my upper lids done on 8th April ...surgeon operates on the Wednesday and stitches come out the following Tuesday. I'm told it's only actually 1 stitch in each lid and that virtually all the swelling and bruising should be gone by 2 weeks. Advised to take arnica as with my BA.
Cost is madness! London prices £3375 including consult...I could get it done in Scotland with an unknown surgeon and just a local anaesthetic for £950 but I'm too chicken...I want to be knocked out lol
