in making your decision?
As many of you know I am still struggling with who to chose for my PS. I thought I found the perfect PS and I love his boobs, highly recommended, etc.
The one issue that is holding me back is that in his paperwork it states that his fee includes post op for up to 3 mths, but that is it! I called and spoke with a couple different staff members and both of them basically said that IF there is problem it will probably be included. But they were not at all like the other consults I went on where they said, all visits are included for as long as needed.
Also, shouldn't a PS WANT to see his patients months or even a year later just to make sure everything is healing well? Seriously, how long would an office visit take just to take a quick peek at a yr post op? Maybe 5 minutes?
Anyway, I am sorry for rambling, but you guys seem to be so knowledgable so I would love your input on how important Post Op care is?
Thank you!!! |

| I would say the first 3 months is the most crucial in healing. I'm sure if at your 3 month appointment you were still having dropping issues or other complications then he would have you come in for more post-op appointments. If everything is healing nicely there really is nothing for them to look at besides dropping & fluffing. If a problem were to arise after the 3 month mark then all you would have to do is call and make an appointment with him. If I liked his work then his post-op visits up to 3 months would not be an issue for me. But if it makes you uncomfortable than that is what's important. You are the one that needs to be comfortable with him. |

I don't think it's as important as you're making it... I can see it's really weighing on your mind which is too bad because percentages say you won't have any problems.
The post of visits ARE very quick.. 5 min is pretty accurate. Unless you end up with a post op issue, I find these visits more of a social call.
Make it part of your agreement that you will need to see him at 3 months, 8 months and if needed at one year. Have it included in the original fee. No extras.
Good luck T |
