| I don't remember chest pain, but I was extremely anxious and impatient. The only thing that helped was staying busy. I vacuumed my house from top to bottom, and it made me feel much better. Then, the day before, I cooked dinner for a neighbor that had just had knee replacement surgery, and I cooked some extra meals for my dh. That made the waiting a little more tolerable, because it took my mind off the surgery some. Do something for someone else, and it takes your mind off of yourself. |

This is very good advice, I like it.
For everyone - how were your nerves when you were prepping for surgery? In the office, putting on the hospital gown, getting rolled into the OR, going under general? |

| I think i was actually more nervous a few days before than i was the day of surgery. my ps gave me a sleeping pill the night before so i think that helped by keepign my nerves down.I didnt take it until midnight so i would still feel the effect of it that morning. my surgery was scheduled early morning. |
