Many surgeons would not have lowered the fold, but instead would have left more extensive scarring with a breast lift.

She had her surgery in two stages. Eight weeks later, she came back to see Dr. Gray for a breast lift. The patient had a vertical mastopexy at which time her nipples were raisied to a better position on the breast. These pictures were taken 3 months post-op and her incisions, although pink in the picture, are improving every day. It's commmon with darker skinned patients to have scars that take a little longer to heal and longer to fade.

This woman from Exeter, New Hampshire came to see Dr. Gray for a breast augmentation. She had a very small frame and was thin. She had very little breast tissue and her breasts were sagging. She said she just wanted to have a nice bustline and look younger. Dr. Gray told her that she needed a breast lift most definitely so that her nipples would not point downward caused by the pronounced sagging and due to her thin frame. When she returned for her 3 month follow-up appointment, she said she was so proud of how she looked and was thrilled to wear a bathing suit.

The woman did not like her sagging breasts and that the fact that her left breast was smaller than the right. She consulted with Dr. Gray and decided to have a vertical lift which raised the nipples to the same height as each other and reduced the areolar diameter. She had a slightly largrer implant on the left than on the right. You can notice the significant lifting by judging the nipple compared to the tattoo. If the patient desires improved breast shape, in this situation, the patient may have to accept a small amount of scarring. Many other surgeons would have used a conventional lift which would have more than doubled the scarring. Dr. Gray used a vertical which avoided the scar underneath the breast.

This young woman from Newburyport, Massachusetts was bothered by the asymmetry of her breasts. The left nipple was significantly lower than the right. She also had very large areolas and sagging of both breasts. Dr. Gray performed a vertical lift which improved the nipple position and reduced the areola size along with a modest breast enlargement. She is thrilled with the improvement.

This woman from Londonderry, New Hampshire, had breast implants with another surgeon about 10 years ago. She came to see Dr. Gray disappointed with the sag of her breasts over time. Dr. Gray recommmended a vertical breast lift. He was able to give the patient a nicely shaped breast without the long scars underneath the breast. The procedure was done under sedation. The patient feels like he or she is just going to sleep very pleasantly and then wakes up from a good nap when the procedure is done. A breast lift is a fairly easy recovery. There is far less discomfort than with some other procedures post surgery. Some patients have told us that there is absolutely no pain or discomfort at all.

She tried many things to rid herself of the pain: chiropractic treatments, massage therapy and physical therapy. Dr. Gray recommended a Breast Reduction using Liposuction with a Breast Lift. Dr. Gray removed 800cc of pure fat from her right breast and 550cc from her left breast to create symmetry. When she came back for her 3 month follow-up appointment, she was a 38C. Dr Gray removed 700 grams of tissue from each breast. The patient was much happier with smaller breasts, now being a 34C. She felt less self-conscious and generally more comfortable the proportions of her body.

This female who presented with back pain and complained that her breasts interfered with activity. She wore a 36D bra and had asymmety. She chose scarless breast reduction. One week after surgery, she reported that her back pain was alleviated. The patient noticed a reduction in back pain even before swelling from the procedure was eliminated. Three months post-surgery she reported that she had gone down a full cup size. She was able to exercise more comfortably and fitted in clothes more easily.

Dr. Gray removed 550cc of fat from her left breast as it was slightly larger than her right breast and 500cc of fat from her right breast. She is now a size 34D. Secondly, she wanted her nipples placed in a more normal looking position, on the center of her breast. Dr. performed liposuction breast reduction of a mild to moderate amount. She just wanted to go down one cup size. She also had a breast lift to give her a more youthful contour, so that her nipples pointed more upward than downward. Dr. Gray removed 350cc of fat from each breast and in doing the lift, he also moved her nipples as close to the center of the breast as he could, being careful not to distort the breast's natural shape. The patient is thrilled with her results and has recommended Dr. Gray to many of her friends.

This young woman from Manchester, New Hampshire, wanted a breast reduction. She did not have adequate fat for a liposuction-only reduction, so Dr. Gray recommended a vertical reduction, a reduction, without any scar underneath the fold, which there normally is in a conventional reduction. She had 550 grams of tissue removed from each side. Her nipples we raised from 27 centimeters to 21 centimeters, more typical of her age. Her breasts are now a more appropriate shape with the nipples at the most projecting point.
