About Dr. Engler
Dr. Alan M. Engler has been named one of "The World’s Most Famous Aesthetic Surgeons" by Aesthetic Surgery Magazine, is listed as one of New York Magazine’s "Best Doctors in New York," and is hailed by Castle, Connolly Medical Ltd’s as one of "The Best New York Metro Area Doctors." In addition, Dr. Engler has written four books on plastic surgery, BodySculpture – Plastic Surgery of the Body for Men and Women, Eyescapes – Plastic Surgery of the Eyelids, Restylane, and The Slim Book of Liposuction. He has appeared on numerous radio and television shows, including four appearances on the Ricki Lake Show.
In addition, Dr. Engler has received a US Patent for a surgical instrument he designed. The instrument, called the Engler Lighted Retractor, is manufactured and distributed by ASSI (New York). Available in two sizes, it is used for procedures on several different areas of the body, including the face (facelifts, liposuction of the chin/neck) and breasts (breast enlargement).
Dr. Engler’s office in New York City contains a fully equipped surgical facility that is accredited by the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF). He is also the inventor of the Engler Lighted Retractor, a surgical instrument which is used for procedures on several different areas of the body.
