“I first saw Dr. Peters at a very scary time in my life. Breast cancer had made a reappearance in the same breast that had been treated 12 years earlier with lumpectomy and radiation. Mastectomy was the only option, and my surgeon insisted that I speak first to a plastic surgeon regarding reconstruction. He recommended Dr. Peters. Dr. Peters spent a great deal of time examining, listening, and then making her recommendations. I immediately felt at ease and left with my questions answered. I opted for placement of a tissue expander at the time of the mastectomy.
