Unlike other plastic surgeons who tried to tell me in 5 minutes what surgery they thought I should have, you took the time to sit down and discuss..." ~ K.B.

Daniel P. Markmann, M.D. is Board Certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is extensively trained in, and practices, the art of plastic surgery and provides a variety of procedures.
When your brothers are surgeons and your mother and sisters are nurses, it's pretty certain you'll turn to medicine, too. Board-certified plastic surgeon Daniel P. Markmann, M.D. was not only born into a family of medicine but also was fascinated by the human body from an early age. "There's nothing else that compares to it," he says.
His patients would tell you that there are few surgeons who compare to Dr. Markmann, whose practice includes the full spectrum of surgical cosmetic procedures, including breast and buttocks augmentation and tummy tucks. I'm a perfectionist so I take the same approach to surgery," he says. "I don't stop until the result is the best I can make it."
Plastic surgery has advanced tremendously over the past two decades. Results are much improved, more natural and safer to obtain. Dr. Markmann's practice is conducted in an old-fashioned, personal style. We will take the time to get to know you. Dr. Markmann's consultation with you will not be rushed. He spends an average of 1 to 2 hours for each new consultation to understand what your goals are, explain to you the different procedure options and to answer ALL of your questions. Photo albums of before and after photos are also available to help further clarify what you can expect in the way of realistic results.

Dr. Markmann has devoted his career to the art of plastic surgery and personally taking care of his patients. Dr. Markmann's practice has been built primarily on referrals from satisfied patients.

Dr. Markmann's Office
Dr. Markmann has created a very successful practice by treating patients the "old-fashioned way," as he likes to call it, making sure to take the time to listen and educate. "We don't rush patients in and out," he says. "It's not an assembly line." Each consultation can last one to two hours, and Dr. Markmann explains options as well as risks, recovery time and how the body will heal.
Safety is Dr. Markmann's number one concern. He sends all patients for medical examinations by their family doctors before surgery. "We don't want to take any risks or have anything negatively affect their healing," he explains. He also performs his surgeries in fully accredited hospital operating rooms or independent surgery centers. He says, "I believe that a patient's safety is of the utmost importance."
Rebuilding a better body:
Dr. Markmann has a unique operating-room style for certain procedures. During liposuction, he and his team actually lift the patients up and turn them over onto their stomachs, and then later turn them again, continuing the liposuction on their front side. Though this "flip" requires a lot of effort and precaution, patients say the results are worthwhile. "Liposuction all around the body gives a much more even and symmetric result," he explains. His tummy tuck patients tell Dr. Markmann that he leaves them with a very natural-looking belly button. "It's a technique involving suturing from the inside," he says.
