Experience with my own breast surgeriesMy philosophy on breast augmentation is based on the teachings of John Tebbetts, M.D. and my experience with my own 5 breast surgeries over the past 16 years. In short, I try to deliver to my patients a long-lasting surgery with no complications, and hopefully requiring no revisions in the future. I use exclusively Allergan “Natrelle” implants, place them in a submuscular pocket 95% of the time, and recommend mastopexies with short scars, occasionally, because most droopy post-partum women prefer excellent volume and shape if at the price of a good scar. As far as the choice of implant size, the correct size is determined by 5 measurements and careful analysis of the chest wall for asymmetry. I then take that information and meld that with the patients’ desires for size and shape. I want this operation to deliver to the patient a beautiful, youthful shape that inspires good health, increased self-worth and admiration from others.
