It is not surprising that breast augmentation is one of the more common aesthetic
plastic surgery procedures performed.
In Dr. Ronan's practice, many of the women
presenting for breast augmentation come from different backgrounds, different
ages, and different personalities. They may be insecure regarding their small
breast size and have been for many years. Others considered their breasts to be
adequate before pregnancy but found them to be inadequate after their breasts
involuted (shrunk) after pregnancy.
Some patients, especially after pregnancy, require a breast lift in addition to an augmentation. Dr. Ronan performs minimal scar techniques for breast lifts whenever possible. The operation is customized for each individual patient. The overwhelming majority of women that undergo breast augmentation are very satisfied with their result. Some present problems due to significant asymmetries

Dr.
Ronan is trained in all four incision types for breast augmentation (axillary,
infra-mammary, peri-areolar, and umbilical). During your consultation, you will

scholarship. He is a member of the Heritage Society of the Medical College of
Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a member of the Maliniac
Circle (Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation). Dr. Ronan is a member of multiple
