Marge's Story
by Marge

I remember back when I
was 16, waiting every year after to develop. It never happened. I have no more
than a AA or AAA size. When I would dress, it would be in larger, looser shirts.
I would hunch over so no one would really notice what I was missing. I was always
quiet and shy so no attention would ever be brought to me. This went on for 40
years.
After I had my 2 children,
never breastfeeding and never increasing in size (and the fact that I was getting
older), I started researching breast augmentation. I read books and then got on
the Internet and found information. BreastImplants411.com was the most resourceful
site I've found. I found girls’ stories similar to mine and reading the before
and after stories made me feel like I wasn't alone. I took the information and
was so prepared with questions for the plastic surgeon.
I have 2 sisters which both
have bigger chests than me. I've contemplated this for about 2 years and then
started searching for doctors to go see. I called and got some prices and when
my husband was convinced that this was very important to me, he told me to go
to a consultation. Well, the surgeon said he could actually make me look good.
He's into a more natural look. I felt very good with him and the office staff,
so I decided to go for it.
I had surgery on Oct. 20,
2003. My mother came with me and helped me during the week with my children. After
one week the doctor told me that I could wear a regular bra. I was on cloud nine.
I ran to Target and tried on bras. It was the first time in my whole entire life
that I ever tried one on; I always wore bralettes. I am a B cup now and I feel
so complete now at the age of 40. At first I was hoping to be more of a C cup,
but they are so natural looking that no one really noticed and that's helping
me adjust so much better.
I know that when spring
and summer rolls around I'll have adjusted to my new additions so much and will
enjoy wearing tighter shirts and even a bathing suit. I am truly happy at this
point in my life. I know now what if feels like and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I have to thank everyone that has helped me. My sisters were so impressed with
how I researched and went for it. That makes me happy. My mother has always been
behind me and I'm so glad. I couldn't of gotten through the first week without
her.
Thank you everyone.
